First seat to P2 in one rookie season — and the numbers behind it.
Jett Price had never raced before when he sat in a kart at Atlanta Motorsports Park on 21 July 2025.
Eleven days later he ran his first competitive weekend at Trackhouse Motorplex and came home P13 and P10. Three weeks after that, in only his second race weekend, he stood on a podium at Music City Kartplex — P2, his first career podium.
By December he was racing nationally. His first national event, Apex Karting Round 1 at NOLA Motorsports Park, produced a P8 and a P7. In March 2026 he took his first career win at Trackhouse. In August, at Quaker City Motorsports Park in Salem, Ohio, he led most of the field to a P1 finish in the final round of the Apex Midwest Briggs Junior championship. That result closed out the three-race championship with Jett second overall in his rookie season.
In June 2026 Jett completed the two-day driving school at Polecat Training Center in Fayetteville, Tennessee. He does not have a driver's license yet. It was his first time in a race car and his first time driving anything with a manual gearbox.
He set the fastest student lap in the school's history, going from 1:56 to 1:53 across two days, and earned a recommendation for an SCCA Novice Permit.
Two classes most weekends, which means two setups, two race programs and double the track time.
School runs alongside all of it. Out after the last bell on Thursday, racing all weekend, flying home Sunday night, back in class 7:30 Monday morning.
